What is Sporulation?
Definition
Sporulation: the formation of spores, a reproductive body produced by fungi capable of development into a new individual either directly or after fusion with another spore
Sporulation is an art-for-social-change project that aims to create community and conversation in support of psychedelics.
The idea behind the exhibition is to combine the fun and creativity of art with the rigour of scientific and evidence-based health practices to provide accurate information about psychedelics in a relaxed and accessible way.
Each year, a group of artists, healthcare and other professionals join forces to fill the walls with artwork that explores a particular theme which becomes the backdrop to a range of workshops, seminars and public talks. And of course it wouldn’t be an art exhibition without Opening Night including live music!

2024 Theme
Psychedelics and Spirituality/Religion
Artists are invited to explore any number of threads that run through this theme.
Psychedelics occasion mystical-type experiences a la Roland Griffith/John Hopkins research… The claim/question that a mystical-type experience is a necessary part of psychedelic healing… Does microsdosing work by helping us access our own inner god? placebo? any difference between these two?
